hello. first let me say that effective control is only possible if extensive dieback hasn't yet occured. Also this is very important, sanitary measures must be taken to ensure the health of the tree . A tree that isn't healthy or is in a weakened state willbe very hard to bring back. I am sending you some information discussing all these important points including the use of fungicides, when to prune , how to prune and the ideal conditions for a healthy dogwood. Read over carefully and you will have all the knowlege you need . thanks.
