Pin oak leaf drop

Asked September 22, 2017, 12:11 PM EDT

I have a large pin oak in my front yard. It started fall leaf dropping early. This is the earliest I've had to rake. My neighbors have very little leaves on their lawns although they don't have pin oaks. Is this cause for concern?
I read the section for oak diseases and don't see evidence of any diseases mentioned.

Please send us photos of the whole tree, around the base of the tree, and affected leaves so we can see what you may be dealing with.

When trees are subject to drought, poor planting techniques, poor drainage, excessive mulch, etc. they can be susceptible to insect and disease issues.
