good time for planting

Asked September 17, 2017, 4:54 PM EDT

I'd like to plant an arbor vitae and some azalea in my yard. Is fall a good time to do this or do they do better in spring?

Fall is a great time for planting.
Here is a page that will help you get the best results: http://extension.umd.edu/sites/extension.umd.edu/files/_images/programs/hgic/Publications/HG24_Plant...

Be sure to keep them watered right up until the ground freezes, and then again in the growing season for the first 18 months of establishment.
