I have ALOT of perrenials that i would like to relocate within my garden. Do i have to transplant them as soon as i dig them up?
Erie County Pennsylvania
You need to get them into the ground as soon as possible because they need time to establish themselves before cold weather. If you can't plant them right away, be sure to cover their roots in soil and keep them out of the sun. Don't delay too long because their delicate feeder roots will shrivel and the transplant won't survive.
