brown spots on lawn

we have about 15 dead spots on our lawn...my husband has put grub killer in the spring which was put on the entire lawn and about 3 or 4 weeks ago on the lawn,just where the spots that were dying...this treatment has made no difference on the dead spots...we are the only ones in the neighbor hood that has these spots...we would appreciated any information that might help us with this problem

Are you sure you have grubs? You could have brown patch which you really don't need to do anything for. Only way to be sure is a soil test.
If it is grubs you can often tell by rolling back the the sod like a piece of carpet to expose them. As far as control, that's best done in August when they're feeding near the surface. Here are links to information. But before you apply any other chemicals, I'd take a soil sample so you know what you're dealing with.
