For the first time ever, our 1/2 acre pond in Ashtabula County has a classic blue green algae ,Cyanobacteria bloom. I treated with copper sulfate and two days later it appears worse. The green algae has turned to a blueish white color. Floating on only about 10% of the surface. No active farming nearby. Weather has been very dry with temps ranging from 80's to low 40's at night. How can I treat this?

I think this has been a really good year for Algae growth.
