Sunburst Locust Problems

Asked September 11, 2017, 4:37 PM EDT

I have (4) sunburst locust trees in my yard. (2) of them are doing great and (2) of them start the year very healthy but around mid summer start to lose their leaves. By early fall they have lost most of their leaves. This has been happening for the last 3-4 years. It seems that in the spring they look very healthy (lots of leaves) but I don't see any new growth. That is the only difference I see between the good trees and the bad is the new growth in the spring. Any suggestions ?

Thank you for your email Would you send some photos of the trees showing how they are situated in the landscape. Also some additional information:

  • How old are the trees?
  • How are they being watered?
  • How/when are they being fertilized?

Best regards,
