My question is I pick one of my yellow squash and it has little white bumps and brown specks. I guess I would call the white ones specks too. Is it ok to eat? This is the only one I saw that looked like this and I think it started to have brown spots after I picked it? it has been over a week? Thanks for any information Robin H
Thank you for the question. I don't know if the blemishes you describe have caused the inner flesh of the yellow squash to rot. I suggest you try peeling it. If the inner flesh looks OK, it's probably safe to eat. Check out this link to help identify problems with summer squashes:
