My concord grapes are gone

Asked September 2, 2017, 2:52 AM EDT

We had a lot of concord grapes that were starting to ripen and a few were already ripe. We kept them netted but when we went to pick them, they were gone. We had a lot of grapes last year and are disappointed now that we have no grapes this year after it looked like we were gong to have a bumper crop. Any ideas as to what could have happened. It was about two weeks between the time we had a lot of ripe and unripened grapes until they had disappeared.. We never saw any birds or other animals near them since they were netted

It is probably some type of wildlife that is eating the grapes. If you don't see birds feeding on them during the daytime, it could be a night-feeding animal, such as a racoon.
