Lace bugs

Asked August 28, 2017, 10:17 PM EDT

We planted asters last fall. In the spring, they became infested with lace bugs, although it took us a while to identify them. We've tries several remedies but haven't been able to get rid of the lace bugs. In the meantime, they've done a lot of damage to the asters. Are the asters salvagable or do we just need to dig them up and plant something else? What method do you suggest to get rid of the lace bugs? Thank you for your assistance!

Hello Aster!

I can't see close-up with your photos, but it looks as though the new growth is healthy. Are you still seeing lacebugs or damage on the newer foliage?

Also, which remedies did you use?
