Tree/Plant Identification

Asked August 27, 2017, 9:49 PM EDT

Would like to know what these two trees are. The first two photos are of a tree growing in my neighbor's garden. It is now about 7 feet tall and some of the leaves are a good 12-14inches across. The 3rd photo is the beginning of a tree growing in my garden that I think is a Tulip poplar (Liriodenddron tulipifera). Please could you confirm. I have several of these and "volunteers". Is there a place to take them too where they can be resettled? Thank you

The first is a sycamore. The second is a tulip poplar. Both are good native trees, grow quite large and volunteers are not uncommon. Keep what you want and dispose of extra in compost or brush pile. We know of no one seeking these seedlings.
