Maple tree dying from top down
The tree is in the tree lawn between the sidewalk and street and near out driveway. Estimated to be 25-30 years and has done well, but is clearly losing leaves from the top down. Internet research suggests root problems but a similar but smaller maple across the driveway had to be taken down- it went from living to dead in just a month or so- perhaps a disease?
The decline could be due to the limited growing space and or girdling roots. Or it could be maple decline.
In order to give a more accurate diagnosis, I'll need to look at the tree.
