Golden Rain Tree is dying? Dead?

Asked August 17, 2017, 2:58 PM EDT

I believe this tree is over 30 years old, it has bloomed every year and seemed in good health since 1990 when I bought the house. Not sure what happened this past winter but this spring it did not look like the leaves were coming back. The tree looks as if it is drying up, there is only one branch left with leaves. (Pics attached) Should I wait for another spring cycle or just take it down?

Your tree is virtually dead. Remove it. It is long past the point of recovery.
Golden rain trees are not long-lived trees. Sounds like it had a good run.
