No blooms

Asked August 15, 2017, 10:52 PM EDT

Hi, I've moved a few towns over and in my new yard is a rose bush. There were just a few stems sticking up in the spring, but they turned green and the rose bush flurished and got really big and green. All summer we waited and no blooms. If it looks healthy why no blooms?

Thank you for your question about your rose bush. Without knowing your site and care, it's difficult to pinpoint one problem. So, I suggest you read this article about rose bush care to see if you can determine what 'went wrong' this year, as well as this Illinois Extension piece. I hope you find them helpful. Good luck!
