Came upon this clump of caterpillars yesterday in a wooded area. Not sure what plant they are on but it resembles milkweed. Not sure what they are or how they should be dealt with? Thanks.

Those look like a big group of the caterpillars of the Milkweed Tussock Moth.
They don't need to be dealt with at all.
