EAB prevention

Is it a good idea to use preventative measures for EAB (as per your website, there are two cases of EAB in my area)?

Hennepin County Minnesota

All native ash trees in MN have no resistance to EAB. If you do not treat your ash tree and there are infected ash trees near your house, then your tree will eventually be killed by EAB. Insecticides should be used to prevent an infection if you want to save your ash tree. You may need to hire an arborist if your tree is mature.
