Thank you for your question. When 4-H members are 14 years old, they can apply to be a 4-H Camp Counselor. The application usually comes out some time in September and is due in November. The information gets shared in the 4-H newsletter that is emailed to all 4-H members. When the application is available, it can be found on our website here: https://franklin.osu.edu/program-areas/4-h-youth-development/current-members-and-parents/teen-opport...

DO I NEED TO TAKE ANY CLASSES OR GO O ANY MEETINGS IN ORDER TO BE A COUNCILOR?

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS I SHOULD OR COULD DO TO BE PREPARED FOR BEING A COUNCILOR?

Applicants that are selected must attend 24-36 hours of training prior to camp. The training schedule is posted on our website when the application is posted in September. All of the information can be found here: https://franklin.osu.edu/program-areas/4-h-youth-development/current-members-and-parents/teen-opportunities/camp-counselors Please direct questions about becoming a camp counselor to Beth Boomershine at boomershine.10@osu.edu
