We are in zone 7 which is a map of the US based on winter cold and plant hardiness. If you plan to grow them I would plan to put the tree in an 18-24 inch container and bring it inside from mid-Nov thru early April.

APples, pears, plums, cherries and peaches are fruit trees that will grow well for you in Pendleton County. I recommend trying to schedule some time with Lindie Huffman the ag agent in Pendleton County to lay out a plan and select cultivars that will work best for your specific purpose.
