oak tree losing leaves

Asked July 21, 2017, 1:11 PM EDT

I have 3 oak trees that lose there leaves mid summer for the past 3 years. Leafs have tiny spots on them and some blotches. What could be wrong with these trees and is there a treatment?

It may be a new disease called Bur oak blight. Bur oak blight (Tubakia iowensis) only infects small acorn bur oaks. Examine the leaf veins on lower leaf surface for dark brown dots and small raised black dots on the stem of infected leaves. Please read more at these sites.
