Can a family member's Primary Care Physician charge me for completing FMLA paperwork for that family member currently under their care?

Yes, doctors and other medical professionals can charge patients for filling out FMLA paperwork. Some may not charge, but others do. If your employer is requiring FMLA paperwork it may be your (the employee's) responsibility to pay these charges (called "medical certification"). However, if your employer requests a second or third opinion from different doctors, the employer has to pay for any FMLA paperwork charges.
