systematic treatment for japanese beetles

I read an article on your site about japanese beetles. It mentioned 'systematic treatments' that are absorbed by plants. It did not name any. Could you provide names?

Hi,

Systemic treatments would include any product that contains imidacloprid or dinotefuron. Some examples are Bayer Tree and Shrub, Ortho Tree and Shrub, and Ferti-Lome Tree and Shrub.
These products should be applied in May in order for the plant to absorb them and protect them in the summer when the Japanese beetle is in flight. Applications of systemics in July will not ultimately help control the beetle. Please let us know if you have further questions.
