Linden tree help

Asked July 4, 2017, 1:38 PM EDT

I have a linden tree shedding nonstop i I bought a house in new Jersey and have only lived here for a year now. last summer I did not notice all these leaves. It's only July 4th and for the last 4 weeks this tree has been dropping leaves non-stop. I had a arborist look at it and they say it looks healthy also they don't know much about Linden's. Is this normal for this type of tree I'm to the point now I want to have it cut down.

The "leaves" on the ground look mostly like the bracts (narrow structures that are attached above seeds) associated with the seed pods and not the true leaves. So, this is not a problem. Photo of the tree shows an apparently healthy tree.
