Grass identification

Asked June 28, 2017, 10:10 PM EDT

I have a grass that came along with a Spanish Bayonet and/or short-leaved sage I kidnapped from north central Wy a couple years ago. I've always assumed it was cheat and regularly pull it, but I let some go to maturity, and now I am not 100% sure. Can you verify it from these photos? Or would better ones help? HI Bob,
This grass is Japanese brome or field brome. It has a similar life cycle to cheatgrass but is not nearly as prolific.
Here is the USDA Plants database profile for it: https://plants.usda.gov/core/profile?symbol=BRAR5
Here's another picture of it: http://pest.ceris.purdue.edu/pest.php?code=PCAATBF
Thanks for the question!
