Pepper plants

Asked June 28, 2017, 12:07 PM EDT

I was hoping someone could tell me what's going on with my pepper plants. It's just the sweet bell peppers. All my other varieties are fine. The leaves and flower heads are turning black and dying.

Hello,

This looks like bacterial leaf spot. You can either remove the plants that have it, so as to prevent spreading to other plants, or use a copper based fungicide which will help slow the progress on infected plants and will protect plants that are not yet infected. Always follow the label directions and precautions when using chemicals.

Here are links discussing BLS- follow the recommendation on watering and mulching to help prevent infecting your other plants---
