What's another way to get rid of voles. They eat peanut butter bait and leave the traps behind. Voles are active in several areas.

Voles are not easy to control and there is no magic bullet. Eliminate weeds, groundcover, and litter in and around crops and cultivated areas to reduce habitat. Keep your lawn mowed.

See our website and view the publication below for tips on trapping. You can bait the traps with apple slices that include the skin or peanut butter. Try to place the apple bait or peanut butter on the trap trigger to prevent the voles from stealing the bait without springing the trap. http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/volest
