Can Yams Have Veins ? I Have A Picture To Prove I Seen One . I Was Actually Holding It .

I am not sure if the yam is cooked or not from your photo. It it is cooked, the lines (veins) are the result of steam escaping from the yam during the cooking process thus shrinking the part of the yam is inside the skin. If it is not cooked, the lines would be due to something in the soil such as roots during the growth of the yam.
