I noticed today that our 2 silver maple trees have develops black spots on the leaves throughout the tree. Can you diagnose and give me a remedy? We don't want to lose these trees. Trunk diameter is about 10-12".

It could be tar spot. Can't tell without at least a good quality photo:

If it is tar spot, it won't damage your tree and there is no need for control.
