How to get rid of invasives

Asked June 6, 2017, 2:29 PM EDT

How do I get rid of/remove Vinca Minor/periwinkle/creeping myrtle (invasive)? I know I can pull it (over and over), but is there something else I could do? Also, I have milkweed growing with my raspberries? Any need to be concerned about toxicity due to the milkweed?

Pulling is the best option if you don't want to use an herbicide. If its a large area you can cover with heavy black plastic until freeze season, then uncover and let it freeze and then pull out. Not promising this will be more effective .
