norway spruce

Asked June 6, 2017, 11:18 AM EDT

I wanted to plant three norway spruces this spring, but got sidetracked. At this point, should I wait for a fall planting? If so, what is the best date to plant? thanks,

It is okay to plant the Norway spruce now. You will have to keep the trees well watered throughout this season up until the ground freezes. Make sure mulch is no thicker than several inches and keep away from the base of the trunk.
