Soil test results

How long does it take to get soil test results? Can we buy it locally & return it locally for faster results?

Marquette County Michigan

It usually takes one to two weeks to get the soil test results, depending on the time of year and how busy the soil lab is at that time. The homeowners MSU Soil Test kits are usually available at the local Extension office (although you might want to call ahead to see if they are in stock). All soil tests are sent to the MSU lab and the results are emailed directly from the lab, so the local office is not involved in the return results.
