Dawn Soap, Tree Dying?

Asked June 3, 2017, 11:05 AM EDT

Hello I recently read where I should use Dawn soap and water to spray the base of my peach tree.I also sprayed the fruit and limbs. :(
I soaked the tree in this solution as I had so many ants in my tree last year. Now my tree is losing its leaves the past two days. I still have plenty of leaves left, but they are wilting. I have small peaches but now the leaves are falling off. Will my peaches continue to grow? Have a killed the tree? Is there anything I can do to keep it alive and finish ripening the fruit? Thank you

The tree could be dying because there was too high of a concentration of the Dawn soap in your mixture. Your tree will regenerate as long as it was not to weak or ravaged by insect activity.
