Can you tell me what this is? It's invading our yard in Rice, MN. We've tried weed b gon and it doesn't take care of it.

Black seed plantain or broadleaf plantain. It's best to dig them out. You can also use a post-emergent herbicide labeled for plantain control which is most effective in the fall. A healthy lawn should keep plantain out. The lawn should be areated in the fall each year and fertilized twice a year. Mulch grass clipping- do not bag. And clean the mower after each use.

Thank you for your quick response Suzanne! I have been researching this online for 5yrs and just couldn't figure it out. I appreciate it!!
