Browning leaves on fig tree

Asked May 21, 2017, 6:33 PM EDT

Hi, I bought this fig tree earlier this spring and transplanted in my front yard, full sun, about 2 weeks ago. I noticed this weekend that the leaves were dropping and they were starting to get yellow and brown. The tree is less than 3 feet tall. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

We think this is abiotic and environmental, not a pest or disease.
Since you just transplanted, it is likely simply stress.
Don't be overly concerned as it should outgrow any damage as it adjusts and produces new growth.
