Watering and the lack of info

Asked May 13, 2017, 8:11 AM EDT

I started a vegetable garden and trying to find out how much I should water. Nowhere on this site can I find how much to water the garden... not even in the watering page, incredible.

Yes. I agree completely - a problem indeed. The reason is that different vegetables require different watering. I've included three URLs here, one for cucumbers, one for tomatoes and relatives and one for beans. They each have a section on watering which is very specific. If you want the requirements for other vegetables, do a search on "Minnesota Extension" and the vegetable you want. It would be nice if there was a table where one could look up the vegetable and find the watering requirements but I haven't been able to find one at this time. I know this requires a bit of extra work. At the same time, the watering requirements are very clear and there is some other useful info at each site as well.

Best of luck with your vegetable garden!
