How do we get rid of the moss/mold in our lawn? We thought it needed lime but soil test shows it does not.

If the lawn has a mold, such as slime mold, watering and raking the spot of the mold should remove it. For snow mold a lawn rake can loosen the grass and remove any dead material.

Moss takes advantage of thin weak lawn areas. It is best to improve the soil fertility, eliminate excessive moisture in the lawn (improve drainage, don't over water - lawns need only one inch of water per week on average), and if in an area of heavy shade, either increase amount of light or purchase a grass mix for shady lawns.
