How do I rid my Garden of Skeletonleaf Bursage?

Asked May 4, 2017, 12:47 PM EDT

My garden is full of Skeletonleaf Bursage and other nasty weeds. I have tried Roundup, covering the whole garden with a tarp for one year, digging them up etc. My garden is raised with good soil that we purchased. We made the mistake of adding in our own cow manure and that is how the weeds started. What can I do? Thanks!

I would recommend that you place several inches of grass clippings between plants and rows of plants to cut down on the number of weeds. Unfortunately there is not a silver bullet to kill and prevent weeds without using a soil sterilant. You will still need to pull a few weeds when using the grass clippings, but this will help cut down on the number. If you have more questions please let me know.

Thanks,
