Something (an insect I guess) is damaging the new growth tips on my grape plants. I have several that have the new leaf stem cut almost completely off. They are never completely cut off. It is happening on several different grape plants. The plants usually develop new leaves on the main stem but the plants are retarded by the damage. Do you know what isa doing the damage and how best to stop it? Thanks,

We viewed your photos. There may be several reasons for the damage to the growth tips on the grapes and we cannot say for sure.
Possible insect damage such as a climbing cutworm or less likely a twig girdler. If you had a recent storm could be wind/hail damage.
All you can do is prune the damaged areas.
