HI I have a red bark bush that has powdery mildew on it> should I spray it or leave it? If so what product should I use?
Oakland County Michigan trees and shrubs
I'm assuming you have a bush that has red bark such as a red twig dogwood. Powdery mildew is a fungal disease that infects the leaves and stems. It does not affect bark. Once the leaf becomes infected there is no cure. Fungicides work preventatively. They are applied to the leaves before infection appears and then reapplied according to label instructions throughout the growing season. Any fungicide that has powdery mildew listed on the label will work. Here is more information on powdery mildew: https://www.oakgov.com/msu/Documents/publications/oc0247_powdery_mildew.pdf
