soil test for homeowner lawn

Asked April 25, 2017, 8:07 PM EDT

is it a good idea as a homeowner to have my soil tested to determine my lawn needs?

I had my lawn fertilized and aerated by a commercial company , but yard looks poorly, I believe due to little moisture.

Also what is the cost to test?

thank you

Good Afternoon,

I have attached a link to a CSU fact sheet for general lawn care. After the lawn has been fertilized, it will be requiring more water, which has not occurred naturally until this week. A soil test is always a good idea. That way you know what you're dealing with or without. I have attached that link as well to the CSU Soils and Water Lab. Good luck and be patient
