Coneflower seedlings

Asked April 23, 2017, 11:23 AM EDT

Hi, I have about 60 coneflower seedlings which I grew indoors and are now about four inches tall and flourishing. I am wondering when they could be transplanted outside in the garden. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Carol

Hi,

Congrats on the seedlings! So much fun.

You can start hardening them off now (see this: http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/flowers/starting-seeds-indoors/#moving ), but I would wait until the middle of May to actually plant them outside.
