Wild Violets

Asked April 19, 2017, 3:35 PM EDT

Wild violets from my neighbor's law are invading my flower bed which contains black-eyed susans. How can I get rid of them without killing the susans?

Here is our page on native wild violets: http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/wild-violet

In your garden bed, you can dig the bulbous roots out, or spray them with an herbicide. You may have to repeat.
Be sure to shield you black-eyed susans or any other desirable plants.
