Freezing fingerling potatoes

I have purchased fingerling potatoes frozen (1 LB.). When ready to use I followed recommended stove-top on pkg. Saute in 1 T olive oil for 6 minutes then cover and cook another 6 minutes. The spices that were in the potatoes gave an excellent taste. I know one was thyme. I would like to know if I can freeze these potatoes myself and keep in freezer until ready to use following cook directions what I used on my package of frozen fingerling. Thank you. Kathy Mazurek
