Old Container Soil

Asked April 4, 2017, 6:38 PM EDT

Last year's container soil was a mixture of (commercial) garden soil (or container soil with moisturizers), home made compost (grass, leaves, food scraps), and horsey made additive. Unfortunately, most of the plants (especially in the hangers) ran away. This year the soil is "sandy/dry". What should/could we do with it??? Thought that came to our pea brain was to try to fill holes in the yard... Cheers for your reply... Peace...

You could do as you have suggested. If, however, you didn't experience any major disease problems with your plants, you could refresh the soil with some compost and use it again in your containers.
