Once the flower has faded, cut off just that part. Give it a little fertilizer, either now, or when you plant it.
You can plant it out this spring in full sun, but don't expect it to necessarily bloom next year. "Forcing" bulbs to bloom is tiring, and they may wait until they are able to store up enough energy to do it again.
