TICK CONTROL WOODED AREA

IN TRYING TO CONTROL TICKS I WILL PUT WOOD CHIPS OR MULCH AROUND EDGE OF WOODS. DOES IT MATER WHAT TYPE WOOD? ARE CHIPS AND MULCH EQUALLY EFFECTIVE? WHAT SPRAYS CAN I USE IN MY COUNTY IN LAWN AREAS?

It doesn't matter what type of wood- chips or mulch. It can help discourage them from entering your yard.
We don't recommend spraying lawn areas, (that kills everything) but instead suggest keeping the grass cut and using personal protective measures such as repellents etc.
