saved caladium tubers

Asked March 21, 2017, 6:46 PM EDT

Hello- I save my caladium tubers every year. I use them in pots. I am never sure when to start the tubers (bulbs?) back to life. It seems to take forever. Please help with a time and process as well. In the past, I've put them in temporary pots of soil about 1" down. I then repot them after they have started growing. I'm hoping there is a better way. Checked your site and could not find an answer. Thank you so much. I have used this wonderful service many times. You are terrific!

Pot up the tubers and place the pots in a warm, bright location. Water them as needed to promote new growth, and plant them outdoors after May 10.
