Recovery from invasive plants

Asked March 6, 2017, 7:13 PM EST

I have been removing invasive plants from my forested property and will continue to pull, cut and destroy them as they return. Jap. honeysuckle and multifloral rose dominate. Will the native seed bank emerge or will I have to do something? What herbicide do you recommend for garlic mustard? Thank you,

Continue to control the invasive plants. It is hard to say when the native seed bank will emerge. All you can do is see what comes up when you make room.
You can plant some native plants if possible. http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/native-plants
Look the attached publication for management options for garlic mustard https://www.nps.gov/plants/alien/fact/alpe1.htm
