worm Bin insects

I've found some very tiny white creepy crawlies in the worm bin. First I noticed them in the water collection tray, and today in the bedding. Any idea what it might be? I think perhaps since the bin I got the red wriggler worms from was outdoors in a barn I've got an immature form of a potatoe bug or something.

Our entomologist looked at your photo and said that these are a lifestage of springtails. Here is a page about them: http://www.extension.umd.edu/hgic/springtails
They are sometimes a problem in areas of homes where there is a moisture problem, but in your worm bin it would seem a natural occurrence. You could consider letting the bin dry out a little or try the suggestion for fruit flies in this Extension publication on vermicomposting and the management of a worm bin:
