How do you control Bermuda grass?

Asked February 22, 2017, 8:04 AM EST

How do you control Bermuda grass? My front lawn is being taken over by this we'd have a grass. How do I control it or how do I get rid of it? I understand it's very difficult to get rid of but I'd like to at least control it. Any suggestions? Thank you, it has been taking over For the past year or so.

Bermuda grass is a very difficult weed to control. The best approach is to wait until August and to use RoundUp or another glyphosate product to totally kill the grass in the area. If there is any regrowth you can apply a second application of glyphosate to control the weed. Then you can reseed. You have up until mid October to seed.

Look at our website for more information on suppressing the weed.
