Plants & trees in backyard

Asked February 11, 2017, 11:28 AM EST

We recently moved to 21801 and our backyard has many plants & trees. We don't have any idea what they are or how to best tend them. Is there an extension agent who can come to the yard & help us with our questions? I want to plant a vegetable garden this spring as well. I'm just ignorant as to how to begin and the best way to do this.

We do not make house calls. Once the plants leaf out in the growing seasons you can send us digital photos of the trees/shrubs in question. Based on your photos we can try to identify them for you. Otherwise you can contact your Master Gardener Coordinator in your county to see if someone can make a site visit.
